3 day weekends…

I never thought I’d appreciate them more than I do now. Probably because I’ve been a lot busier than I have been in quite a while. I am looking forward to this 3 day weekend. Technically its just a normal weekend because I have to finish a project on Monday but at least I don’t have school or anything. Chillaxin’ for the next 2 days. Suh Weet. =D

You think…

undergrads complain about homework? No. Grad students complain about homework. At least some of them in my program. Hahah. We were given our first real homework assignment today in class and people were staying at it like, “What the fnck is this?! Why art thou handing out such vile and filth? Away with you and your evil ways!” Yes they got all Victorian on dat ass. But seriously though it was pretty funny watching people react to receiving homework. I know that some of the people in my program are pretty busy doing their own research but its all good. It’s just a couple of problems, no need to make such a fuss. I guess I’m making it a fuss by posting about it, but I seriously was laughing on the inside. Random.

Oh yeah, I also showed how immature I still am when I giggled when the professor drew a human figure on the white board that just so happened to look like a penis. It did to me at least. Damn I’m still a kid…hahah.

Small conversations

Before I never really cared for them. I always thought, “If I’m going to talk to someone, why not just talk to them for a while instead of just saying ‘Hi’.” But lately I’ve been having small conversations with a lot of people. At school I see pretty much everyone in my program everyday so I always try and at least say hi. Sometimes I’ll chat it up if we both aren’t busy, and you know what those small conversations are pretty good. Allow me to try and explain, being in lab for X amount of hours doing research and/or work, usually by yourself, can be a drag sometimes and it’s nice to have some kind of human contact every now and than. Not like we’re all locked up and hidden away in our hidey holes but you can get so focused on one thing you actually become obsessed and stress out more than you need to. Having someone stop by and saying hello can actually help relieve that stress and possibly help you figure out what’s going on.
